5 to 10 folds Learning Effectiveness

Straight A students and zero-mark students spend more or less the same amount of time in the classroom. Other than the innate ability, the disparity mainly stems from the difference in learning effectiveness, rather than the difference in the amount of resources allotted or mode of pedagogy.

Memory disappears just like balls falling onto the ground in juggling.

A juggler needs only a fraction of a second to catch and toss a ball into the air.

However, if the ball has already fallen onto the ground, it would take much longer time to pick it up and throw it into the air again. This could be more than 10 times less effective. Worst still, while you are picking up the ball, all the other balls will also fall onto the ground.

Ineffective learners waste far too much time relearning old materials instead of keeping them in their memory by effective means. Without a solid foundation, learning new materials becomes more and more difficult as the cognitive load will soon exceed the normal capacity of humans.

The crux of effective learning is not to forget, so that you can avoid the cost of relearning and the burden of heavy cognitive load.

Effective pedagogy or memory skills, like mnemonic, definitely help. Although they can strengthen memory in learning, they all require special dedications and cannot tell what you are about to forget, i.e. which ball is going to hit the ground first.

With the knowledge of cognitive science, SolidMemory™ uses an algorithm to emulate the functioning of your brain. It figures out what you need to revise most at a particular instance in time, and provides you the required exercise. And based on your response to each question, it designs the next practice combination to achieve the highest possible personalization. By doing exercise of just a few minutes a day, you can boost your learning effectiveness by 5-10 times.
